Hairloss

Supplement Recommendations

Alopecia is the medical term,  and it can be not only distressing, but a sign of something else going on in the body.

Anemia, hypothyroidism,  dieting,  medications (such as the GLP-1s), and stress, are all potential causes of Alopecia.

Alopecia Areata (AA)

AA is the kind of hair loss that classically begins as "coin shaped" areas of smooth loss of hair.  This almost always requires medications and/or in-office injections to treat it.

Dr. Eads usually recommends an appointment.  Few, if any,  vitamins help. Stress reduction does help,  so keep that in mind.

Telogen Effluvium (TE)

TE is usually due to stress, such as an illness, pregnancy,  surgery,  or severe life stressor. Diagnosing this is usually done by a dermatologist. The hair loss is diffuse and continues for about a year before the process ends and hair regrows.

Pharmaceutical medications can help a lot. But if you want at-home help...

Dr Eads' recommendations:

1) N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) 600 mg two pills twice a day (4 pills).

Cysteine is a major component of the hair shaft. Give it what it needs to grow!

2) Increase protein intake.

This is easier said than done.  And many people think they're getting enough protein in their diet, but when you add up the number of grams, it's not enough.

The usual recommendation is 1 gram of protein per pound of your body weight.

You might need to drink protein shakes to get this done every day.

3) Nutrafol

This really does work! If you wanna save money,  come get it from us,  with our special patient pricing!

Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA)

This is usually called male pattern or female pattern hair loss.

Dr Eads' recommendations:

1) Nutrafol

2) NAC

3) We're working on our own formula to hopefully do even better than Nutrafol,  so stay tuned!

No hype, just what they trust for healthier skin
