Atopic Dermatitis is a difficult and distressing condition. Chances are if you have eczema, you'll need prescription management and in-person evaluation. But many of you have done that and are doing that and want something you can do at home, so here goes!
Dr. Eads' recommendations:
1) Omega-3 fatty acids.
If you have eczema, the more omega-3 you can get, the better. Foods are really the best way, especially fish. But you need daily high intake of omega-3's, so we recommend
Double DHA by NOW. Take 2 capsules twice a day (4 per day). You can find this product online.
2) Vitamin A 25,000 IU a day. Here's our normal disclaimer: do not take if you're pregnant or trying to get pregnant. Consult your doctor about medicines and conditions you may have.
3) Zinc
We recommend 30 mg day of zinc EZ melts with food, to avoid nausea. Zinc needs to be taken with a large meal so you don't get queasy.
