Bug Bites

Supplement Recommendations

Arthropod bites are what we call them and sometimes it feels like you're getting bit and no one else is! Maybe it's the "sweet blood" you have?

It's difficult on exam to tell sometimes exactly what bug is biting you,  but if it's mosquitoes or gnats/no-see-ums, we've got an idea for you.

Dr. Eads' recommendations:

1) Thiamine.

Thiamine (also known as Vitamin B1) contains a sulfur thiol group that keeps bugs away from you,  but people can't smell it!

Take 500 mg of Thiamine twice a day during the times when bugs tend to bite you.

Topical skin bug repellents, both natural and chemically derived, are easy to find and we'll let you decide with those.

We just thought we'd give you a new idea!
