Medical Dermatology focuses on the non-surgical diagnosis, management, and treatment of a broad spectrum of conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails. It combines clinical expertise with evidence-based therapies to address both common issues and more challenging, chronic, or complex cases.

Medical dermatology goes beyond basic skin care.  Our Dermatologists are trained to:

• Accurately diagnose conditions through physical exams, biopsies, patch testing, or lab work.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that may include topical medications, oral drugs, biologics, light therapies, or lifestyle recommendations.
• Manage chronic conditions long-term to improve quality of life and prevent complications.
• Handle cases that overlap with internal medicine, allergies, autoimmune disorders, or infections.

Includes teenage acne, adult hormonal acne, cystic acne, and scarring. Treatments range from topical retinoids and benzoyl peroxide to oral antibiotics, isotretinoin (Accutane), or hormonal therapies.

Causes itchy, inflamed, dry skin. Management often involves moisturizers, topical steroids or non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, antihistamines, and sometimes biologics for moderate-to-severe cases.

An autoimmune condition leading to rapid skin cell turnover, plaques, scaling, and sometimes joint involvement (psoriatic arthritis). Options include topical treatments, phototherapy, oral medications, and advanced biologics.

Facial redness, flushing, visible blood vessels, and bumps. Triggers (sun, stress, certain foods) are identified, and treatments can include topical/oral antibiotics, electrocautery therapy for vessels, or anti-inflammatory agents.
